There will be an amendment to the train timetable of the Kelani Valley railway line as of December 5, Railways Deputy General Manager (DGM) Gamini Seneviratne said.
He stated that the decision to impose speed limits was made due to an increase in commuters.
"The railways department cannot prevent delays in train services with the increase in commuters and due to the imposition of speed limits," he said.
He also mentioned that the time table will be amended on the coastal line and the Puttalam line. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
