Hizbullah’s security officer nabbed with rubber stamps of Govt. officers

Suspect, Mohammed Marsuk Mohammed Rizli, a security official of Eastern Province Governor MLAM Hizbullah, had been arrested by the Modara Police over suspiciously keeping some rubber stamps of Government officers.

Five rubber stamps have been discovered at the residence of the suspect in Modara by the Police.
The official rubber stamps of two Police Officers and the rubber stamps used by Governor Hizbullah, when he was the Minister, were among those recovered.

The suspect had been produced before the Chief Magistrate's Court under Sections 399 (Impersonating Government Officers), 457 (Forgery) 458 (Creating Forged Documents) of the Penal Code.

The suspect was subsequently released on bail by the Colombo Additional Magistrate Lochani Abeywickreme Weerasinghe with two sureties of one million each. (Shehan Chamika Silva)
