Former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando was arrested by the CID at the Colombo National Hospital a short while ago, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
Mr. Fernando was admitted to the ICU of the Cardiology Unit at the National Hospital this morning.
Former Defence Secretary was to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning to provide a statement over the Easter Sunday attacks.
