Harin receives COVID vaccine on doctor’s advice

SJB MP Harin Fernando said today that he had received the COVID-19 vaccine after about one million people had been vaccinated against the virus.

He said his health condition pushed him to get the vaccine as soon as possible as advised by his doctors.

“Took my vaccine today with general public after one million of our country men and women were able to do the same. My health condition also pushed me to get the vaccine as soon as possible as advised by doctors. Hoping the government is able to do the same for all its citizens," he tweeted.

In February this year, the MP said that he would not take the Covid vaccine until at least 1 million people had been vaccinated as priority should be in vaccinating the most vulnerable groups and frontline workers.
