Four foreign nationals have been arrested in the Awissawella and Grandpass areas over visa violations yesterday, police said.
They said two Nigerians, a Pakistani national and a Bangladeshi national were among those arrested.
The two Nigerians aged 26 and 31 were arrested by the Awissawella Police at the Ukwatta area yesterday while the Pakistani and the Bangladeshi aged between 24 and 25 were arrested at the Sedawatta area in Grandpass.
The suspects are to be produced in the Awissawella and Hulfsdrop Magistrate’s Courts today.
