Police have launched investigations after four children have drowned while bathing in the sea at Ichchilampattru and Kuchchaveli within last two days.
The Kuchchaveli Police have commenced investigations upon a message received that two children who had gone to bathe in the sea at Irakkandi in Kuchchaveli had drowned yesterday.
The children, aged 14 and 13 and residents of Nilaveli, died on admission to the Nilaveli Hospital.
Meanwhile, another two children aged 14 and 11 also went missing while bathing in the sea at Valaithhottam in Ichchilampattru on Friday.
The deceased were residents of Valaithhottam and Mavadichchenai.
