At least 95 pensioners, including a former Director General of the Department of Pensions today filed a writ petition in the Court of Appeal challenging Government's decision to suspend the increments for pensioners from January this year.
Former Director General of the Department of Pensions K.A. Thilakarathne and 94 others filed this petition naming Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Cabinet of Ministers as respondents.
The petitioners are seeking an Interim Order quashing the decision to suspend the operation of Public Administration Circular N.35/2019 dated 10:12:2019.
