Former Leader of the Ceylon Workers' Congress (CWC) Muthu Sivalingam passed away at the age of 79 today.
Born on 20th July 1943, Muthu Sivalingam from Nuwara Eliya had served as a member of Parliament from 1994 to 2015.
He was also the Deputy Minister of Primary Industries, Deputy Minister of Agriculture & Livestock, Minister of Estate Housing Infrastructure and Community Development, and the Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
