Sri Lanka’s fast bowler Shehan Madushanka, who was remanded on charges of possessing heroin, was further remanded till June 23 by Kuliyapitiya Magistrate Janani Shashikala Wijethunga today.
Madushanka and his friend were taken into custody recently at Pannala when they were travelling in a vehicle from Bammanna to Pudulupoththa in Kuliyapatiya after the Police had found 2.7 grammes of heroin in the possession of Madushanka and 2.8 grammes from his friend. The other suspects arrested have also been remanded till June 23. (By Dinesh Upendra)
