A Chinese couple and two shop owners were hospitalised following an explosion that occurred at a shop at Kollupitiya Junction this morning, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
He said about 11 shops were damaged in the explosion. The cause of the explosion had not been determined yet.
The injured were admitted to the General Hospital, Colombo with minor injuries, the spokesman said. The Kollupitiya Police, STF Bomb Disposal Squad officers and Scenes of Crime Officers (SOCO) are conducting investigations.
