Exam dept. requests candidates to leave centre peacefully after exam

The Commissioner General of Examinations today requested the candidates to leave the examination premises peacefully on the last day of the examination.

While issuing a notice he said stern legal action would be taken against the wrongdoers.

Those who indulge in unruly behaviour within the Examination premises, damaging private properties and disturbing and threatening fellow students at the centres will pave the way to take legal action against them.

The Examination results of those involved in such activities would be annulled, the Commissioner General said.

All heads of the Examination centres, Police OICs of the respective areas have been  advised to take stringent action against such activities with immediate effect.

The Police mobile patrol of the respective areas have been assigned to provide protection to the examination centres on the final day of the examination.

The O/L examination will continue until Wednesday (10). (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
