Eight new power sets to improve train service: Minister

Train services will be further improved with the arrival of eight new train sets next year as Sri Lanka is set to receive six new power sets from China and two from India, the Railway Services State Minister C. B. Rathnayake said yesterday.

He said in a media briefing that four power sets will be delivered in January 2020 and it will be deployed for commuter transport. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
