The Election Commission will have a meeting with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa tomorrow to discuss the creation of a conducive atmosphere for the conduct of the general elections, an official said.
Commission’s Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya told Daily Mirror that his office sought a meeting with the President.
“We hope we will get the meeting on Wednesday,” he said. He said all the three members of the Commission along with its secretary would attend the meeting.
Bedsides, the Commission will hold talks with the representatives of the political parties the same day.(Kelum Bandara)
