The National Elections Commission has informed the National Film Corporation not to display advertisements for the promotion of a candidate or a political party during film screenings, police said.
Accordingly, it becomes an offence to display such advertisements during film screenings and added that the owners of film theatres had been informed in this regard.
All the respective police stations have been informed under the instructions of the Acting IGP to be alert over the regulation.
