A decision on the date of the General Elections would be made this week, Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya said today.
Speaking at a news briefing at the commission, he said the gazette notification with preferential numbers for the candidates contesting the election would be issued tomorrow.
Meanwhile, he requested Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe to gazette the guideline issued to the election commission.
