DailyMirror.lk was adjudged the best news/designed website of the year award at the Journalism Awards for Excellence 2021 held at the Mount Lavinia hotel tonight.
Daily Mirror Cartoonist Namal Amarasingha bagged the cartoonist of the year award, Deputy Editor - Investigations Piyumi Fonseka accepting the award for the Investigative Journalist of the year 2021 and senior columnist D. B. S. Jeyaraj bagged the D. R. Wijewardene award for earning the appreciation of peers at the Journalism Awards 2021 organized by Sri Lanka press institute and the editors guild of Sri Lanka.
Sunday Times, Daily Lankadeepa, Deshaya and Daily FT also bagged awards.
