A top officer of the Government Analyst's Department said the DNA investigations were carried out for several days using biological samples of the wife of Mohamed Zahran, his daughter and a sister. The report relating to this investigation is scheduled to be handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today (21).

The information has been received by the security forces that the suicide bombers, who were killed due to the Easter Sunday attack on Colombo Shangri-La hotel, were the leader of NTJ, Mohamed Zahran Hashim and Ilham Mohamed Ibrahim.

The DNA investigation was done to prove the veracity of this suicide attack. The Government Analyst's Department is scheduled to hand over the finalised reports regarding the attacks on Cinnamon Grand, Shangri-La, Zion Church in Batticaloa and Dehiwala Tropical Inn, to the CID.
