DMT services back to normal from July 1

The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) today announced that its services which were disrupted during the COVID-19 pandemic had been normalised since July 1, DMT Commissioner-General Sumith C. Alahakoon said. 

He said the services provided by their department were limited in June due to the COVID-19 situation. 
“The services provided by the department confined to certain limitations owing to the risk of spreading COVID – 19 Virus,” he said.  

Since July 1, there would be no necessity to reserve dates before obtaining services, he said. 

However, the clients who enter the premises required to adhere to the Health Ministry’s guidelines such as wearing masks, using sanitizers, and maintaining social distance, the Commissioner-General added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
