The President instructed to commence the Oxford–AstraZeneca Covishield vaccines from Western Province (WP) today, Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva said.
He said vaccines would be provided for people above 30 years of age while targeting the vulnerables, high risk groups and those who interact closely with the public.
He said the remaining 250,000 Oxford–AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine vials will be released for the purpose.
