A total of 4710 more Covid-19 patients have recover and been discharged from hospital bringing the total number of recovered cases in Sri Lanka to 16,226.
According to the Health Ministry, 5,703 patients are currently receiving treatment at hospitals.
A total of 559 persons were confirmed positive with Covid-19 yesterday. The majority of those infected were identifed from Colombo district (253) while 65 cases were reported from Gampaha and 35 cases from Kalutara districts.
