The Aluthkade Magistrate's Court today permitted the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) officers to detain Mohommad Nazeem Mohammad Faizar, one of the two suspects who were deported from Dubai on Sunday and arrested by the CID.
They said the two suspects were taken to the Airport CID custody on their arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport and later Mohommad Nazeem Mohammad Faizar was handed over to the CCD for further investigation.
The other suspect, Mohammad Mufar Mohammad Jabeer, is being interrogated by the Airport CID.
The duo was arrested along with notorious drug kingpin Makandure Madush in Dubai.
