Megapolis and Western Development Minister Champika Ranawaka said that the country cannot go back to family rule and the need is for a leader like Speaker Karu Jayasuriya who can create an image for the country both locally and internationally.
“We took a certain step in this country in 2015 against family dominance. That cannot be turned back. This should be remembered by all despite whoever pays homage to that still. This country today needs a leadership that can create an image or this country both locally and internationally. At that moment we cannot forget our Speaker since he has made comprehensive achievements in all these areas,” he said addressing a public gathering on Tuesday.
