The All Island Canteen Owners' Association (AICOA) has decided to reduce the prices of short eats by Rs. 10 from tonight in line with the bread price reduction.
According to AICOA Chief Asela Sampath, dhal and other essential food commodity prices in Pettah have been reduced.
“There is enough stock of wheat flour in the market now and, therefore, the prices of bread and other bakery items have been reduced from last night,” he noted.
“If domestic gas and fuel prices are reduced, we will be looking forward to reducing the price of a lunch packet as well,” he said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
