CPC TU meets Premier

The representatives of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Unions’ Collective went to Temple Trees a short while ago to take part in a discussion with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe over their demands.

The petroleum employees launched an indefinite strike midnight yesterday demanding the government to halt the proposed agreement to be signed with India regarding the Trincomalee oil tanks

Meanwhile, Petroleum Resources Development Minister Chandima Weerakkody and ministry officials had also left from the ministry to take part in the discussion with the Premier. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)
