People who are over 20 years of age are requested to get their COVID-19 fourth vaccine dose, including first, second, and third doses against the coronavirus, from the CMC Vaccination Centres today, Colombo Regional Epidemiologist Dr. Dinu Guruge said.
She said the people who are eligible to get the vaccine should be over 20 years old and should have completed three months since their last COVID-19 jab.
Accordingly, the people are requested to visit the Maternity Home, New Bazzar, MOH office, Wellawatte, MCH, and MOH offices at Deans Road to get their Pfizer jabs to shield themselves from COVID-19.
The vaccine rollout will be conducted between 9.00 am and 12.30 pm today.
However, the fourth dose has been recommended for people between 20 and 60 years of age and for those with immunodeficiency and chronic disorders, Dr. Guruge said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
