Sri Lanka’s pristine beaches and lush green mountains were used to be the main attractions for international travellers, however, this time round it is the commercial capital of Colombo that is recommended by CNN Travel.
In the segment ‘Unlocking the World’, CNN Travel has placed the city of Colombo in its list of must travel destinations this year.
Recommending Sri Lanka to tourists under the ‘Where to travel 2022: The best destinations to visit’, CNN Travel described Colombo as a city that is “usually misunderstood from the beginning”.
"It's time to pay attention to the city's underrated design destinations," said CNN Travel while calling holiday makers to add Colombo to their travel list in 2022.
