Businessman arrested with €30,000 in rectum

A 55-year-old Sri Lankan businessman was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport today when he attempted to smuggle Euro 30,000, Customs Spokesman Leslie Gamini said.

The businessman who was to board a flight to Singapore had concealed the currency, valued at Rs. 4,905,768, in his rectum, officials said. (Kalathma Jayawardhane)
