Bugs at MC; Ceylon Theatres says...

Ceylon Theatres today said that it shut down the Superior cinema hall of the Majestic Cineplex (MC) pending an investigation into complaints by patrons of bugs being found in several seats inside.

Issuing a statement, Executive Director of the C.T. Holdings PLC, Sanjay Niles stated:

“We refer to an incident which took place on the evening of Saturday 12th January 2019 at one of our cinemas. Upon receipt of the information on Sunday morning, Ceylon Theatres (CT) took immediate steps to shut the cinemas pending an investigation. No operations have taken place at this cinema since that time. CT also took steps to contact patrons concerned who responded by stating as per posting “they have contacted me and are taking necessary immediate action. As the motive for this message was conveyed, I will be taking this off from social media public”.

CT which has operated for 90 years always strives to maintain the highest standards to provide our patrons with an enjoyable cinematic experience. While regretting this incident, we wish to assure our patrons that every possible steps would be taken to immediately deal with this matter and serve our patron as we have over the years.”
