Batticaloa LRC director injured in shooting

Land Reforms Commission (LRC) Director for the Batticaloa and Trincomalee Districts Wimalaraj Nation was injured after being shot by two gunmen who arrived on a motorcycle while he was at his residence in Kaluvanchikudy this evening, Police said.

They said he was admitted to the Batticaloa Hospital. The suspects were yet to be identified. (Jaufer Khan)
