One soldier was killed and eight others were injured when a cab they were travelling in had veered off the road and toppled this morning at Kepapilau in Mullaitivu , Army Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu said.
He said the accident occurred at around 6 a.m today and the deceased soldier was a Lance corporal of the Army.
The injured were admitted to the Mullaitivu Hospital.
The Spokesman said they suspect the accident occurred due to the technical fault of the cab.
