Chairman of the Presidential Commission to Investigate the Easter Sunday Terrorist Attack Minister Chamal Rajapaksa said the most appropriate action would be taken against those responsible for the attack after a thorough study of the commission report.

During his visit to the Detagamuwa Tank development project under the Kataragama Town development plan, he said the government would do justice to the victims on the findings of the report.

Commenting on the ongoing development endeavour, he said the government’s policy was to protect and develop the country’s assets for the benefit of the people and not to sell them to foreigners.

“The ongoing Detagamuwa Tank development project would serve for dual purposes. It would provide irrigation facilities throughout the year to the farmers while being a tourist attraction. At present more than ten tourist resorts in Kataragama and Tissamaharama provides facilities to thousands of tourists visiting the area.(K. D. DEVAPRIYA AND M. K. NANDASENA)
