Anura Kumara, Duminda Dissanayake resign from COPE

Parliament, March 20 (Daily Mirror)- NPP leader and MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake informed Parliament today that he too has decided to resign from the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE).

He told Parliament that it was pointless participating in COPE meetings under the chairmanship of Rohitha Abeygunawardan.

The MP said the current COPE chairman had allegations of fraud and corruption and therefore he decided to resign as a member of the COPE.

Meanwhile, Parliamentarian Duminda Dissanayake has also resigned from the COPE today.
