Another wasp attack at Sigiriya: 17 hospitalized

Twelve foreigners and five Sri Lankans were injured when they were attacked by wasps in Sigiriya last evening.

Police said the injured were admitted to the Kimbissa and Dambulla Hospitals.

Ten Chinese nationals, one Indian and a Germen national were among the foreigners and the five Sri Lankans were residents of Mattakuliya.

Last week, 20 tourists inclduing 15 Chinese nationals, were also injured when they were attacked by wasps in Sigiriya.
