Singer Amal Perera’s son Nadeemal Perera was detained by the CID on his arrival to the country from Dubai and was released after recording his statement, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
Nadeemal Perera and prison guard Lalith Kumara, who was arrested in Dubai with drug kingpin Makandure Madush, were deported to Sri Lanka this morning. They were detained by the CID and the PNB at the Katunayake Airport on their arrival for questioning.
