Five suspects including two soldiers attached to the Panadura Army Camp had been arrested in connection with the shooting incident at Akuressa where two policemen were injured on Friday, police said.
The two policemen who were on duty in the Thibbatuwawa area had ordered a motorbike to stop last Friday. Three suspects on the motorbike had disobeyed orders and opened fire at the policemen who were following them.
