Airport passenger arrival suspension extended till April 7: CAA

All passenger arrivals at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake which was suspended for two weeks has been extended till April 7, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said. The suspension of the flight arrival at the airport was to be lifted on March 31. The decision to extend the suspension has been taken by the CAA after considering the country's current pandemic situation. All passenger transit operations have been stopped for the moment. All import and export operations are to continue without interruption. The flight suspension came into effect from March 17. (Chaturanga Samrawickrama and T.K.G Kapila)
