The admission of students to the intermediate classes for the year 2022 will be suspended from December 5, until the beginning of the third term of this year, the Education Ministry said.
Instead, the admission of students for intermediate classes in the year 2023 will be done by after March 24, 2023, until the end of the third school term of the year 2022 by considering the applications forwarded to the schools based on the availablity of vacancies.
Students from schools without Advanced Level (A/L) subject stream should send their application forms to the concerned schools when applying for A/L studies based on the 2022 GCE A/L results.
The ministey also requested not to foward applications to the Ministry. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
