Additional trains this evening to Polgahawela, Kalutara South, Padukka: SLRSMU

Due to an insufficient number of trains operated this morning, the Railway Department has decided to run several additional trains on main line, coastal and Kelani Valley lines this evening.

Sri Lanka Railways Station Masters' Union (SLRSMU) said the department has decided to assign two trains on the Main and coastal lines. 

One train will be operated on the Kelani Valley railway line. 

Accordingly, a slow train will run on the main line from Colombo Fort to Polgahawela at 4.00 pm. 

"Another slow train will be operated from Polgahawela to Fort at 6.10 pm. Two more slow trains will run on the coastal line between Maradana and Kalutara South.
 
Train No. 8761 will leave Maradana at 4.15 pm, while the other train will leave Kalutara South at 5.45 pm, the Station Masters' Union said.

A slow train No. 9265 will leave Fort at 5.00 pm today to Padukka on the Kelani Valley line. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
