The STF has arrested a close associate of underworld figure 'Pookutu Kanna' during a raid in Polgasowita in Kahathuduwa.
The STF said the suspect was arrested along with 13 grams of heroin.
Two driver's licenses registered in the name of other persons and a CD related to the suspect's activities were seized from the suspect's possession.
It was revealed that the suspect was wanted over in connection with organized crimes and aiding and abetting a murder.
The 38-year-old suspect was handed over to the Kahathuduwa Police to be presented before the Kesbewa Magistrate Court.
