ACJU calls on remaining terrorist groups to surrender

All Ceylon Jammiyathul Ulama (ACJU), the Muslim theologians of Sri Lanka, has called on the remaining members of the Muslim terrorist groups to surrender to the Security Forces.

Ash-Sheikh Fazil Farook, the ACJU media secretary said that a programme to rehabilitate the misguided youth can be prepared in collaboration with the government if they surrender to the authorities.

He further said that the details of the lectures delivered by Zahran Hashim, the leader of Thawheed Jama'ath Organization had been handed over to the former Secretary of Defence last January.

He further stated that the entire Muslims community was against the terrorists and they have been giving their full support to the Security Forces in their crackdown on the terrorists.

One of the individuals who has been alleged to have vandalized the Buddha statues in Mawanella in December last year had come after having been hiding some time to hand over his wife and children to their parents but the parents had handed them over to the Security Forces instead of accepting them, he said.

Using the information received from that woman some of the individual who had vandalized the Buddha Statues had been arrested, Maulavi Farook said.

People of Kalmunai area have complained to the Security Forces that they had been offered money by the certain groups in order to get their support of the miscreants.(Dayaseeli Liyanage)
