4% rise in accidents: General hospital

The General hospital said today that, there is a 4% increase in the total amount of accidents recorded in comparison to last year during the last 24 hours. The hospital said that 223 patients have been brought to the hospital during the last 24 hours. A total of 106 patients have been admitted, out of the patients brought into the hospital, showing an increase of 22% in total admittance in comparison to last year.

43 patients were brought in for road traffic accidents, 31 patients in connection wit home accidents, 46 patients were brought in connection to violence and 2 were brought in due to injuries connected with firecrackers hospital sources said.

The patients brought in connection with violence have shown a steep rise of 73% in comparison to last year the source said. ( Hafeel Farisz)
