The total number of Covid-19 patients reported in Sri Lanka today increased to 685 with the detection of 329 more cases later in the day, the Government Information Department said.
Among the newly reported cases, 325 are close contacts of the Peliyagoda fish market cluster while 4 are from prisons.
Meanwhile, another group of 356 patients were reported from Peliyagoda and Prison clusters early today.
Accordingly, the total number of cases in the country surged to 33, 478 while 9015 of them are still under medical care.
A total of 24,309 patients recovered and discharged from Hospitals as of today. (Ajith Siriwardana)
