A total of 1400 staff members including MPs have been subjected to PCR tests in Parliament by today, Sergeant-at-Arms Narendra Fernando said.

He said 190 individuals were subjected to PCR test today.

He said MP Yapa Bandara had attended Parliament sittings on January 19 and had made a brief visit to parliament on January 21 on a non-sitting day.

Mr. Fernando said after watching CCTV footage, no MP was identified as close associates of MP Bandara as all the MPs had followed health guidelines.

However, he said steps have been taken to inform two MPs who had come to a brief contact with MP Bandara during his stay in Parliament on the two days he had visited Parliament. (Ajith Siriwardana)
