10 Dutch tourists visit SL as first batch of tourists from Europe

A small group of  tourists from the Netherlands had arrived in the country last night as the first batch of tourists to visit the the island after reopening of the airports for commercial flights, a senior member of the Airport Tourism Development Board said. 

The group touched down at the airport  in an Emirates flight at 10.30 pm from Dubai, UAE.

The group comprising of five children and five adults. 

Meanwhile, five national media officials from Germany also arrived at the Katunayake airport this morning in order to report the re-commencement commercial air traffic operations from the island's airports.

All the tourists have left for the Bentota Beach hotel for the purpose of lodging. (T.K.G.Kapila)
