Realizing the importance of the UAE corporate meetings and incentive travel market, the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) revived the joint promotions with Sri Lankan Airlines. The first such country promotion in the UAE for this year took place in Dubai recently at Pullman City Centre Hotel with industry one-to-one meetings and evening interactive session.
Over 100 UAE MICE buyers based in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah attended the event. The SLCB took the full advantage of the strengths of the SriLankan Airlines Dubai office to use their network and organise the event, which was attended by the leaders of the MICE industry.
Leading Sri Lankan MICE industry members had the opportunity of meeting the UAE-based buyers specially the ones who had not previously marketed Sri Lanka among their clients. They continued their dialogue during the interactive session in the evening.
The SLCB presented to the invitees why Sri Lanka should be their next choice for MICE with the new locations and products for MICE activities while SriLankan Airlines explained its services for the UAE.
