Ramada Colombo together with SriLankan Airlines recently had the pleasure of hosting the delegates from the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) for cocktails and a lavish dinner at the Liberty Ballroom.
IATO, the national body of tour operators in India, was established in 1982 and includes over 4,000 members covering all segments of tourism in the country. The delegates were in Colombo between 2nd and 5th October for a convention organized by the Sri Lanka Conventions Bureau, aimed at educating Indian Tour Operators on the multitude of opportunities presented by Sri Lanka for experiential and cultural tours, fine cuisine and ample shopping.
The evening was a huge success, with IATO members able to experience first-hand the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality, along with the elegant, luxurious facilities at Ramada Colombo.
