In pursuit of excellence in dissemination of knowledge to generate mutual benefit within a framework of openness, fairness and equity, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Colombo International Nautical & Engineering College (CINEC) and the Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) recently
in Korea.
During the discussions between the two universities, CINEC will collaborate with KMOU to develop collaborative activities in academic and in educational areas. It was also agreed that the students of CINEC will be invited to attend summer schools conducted by the KMOU with accommodation and special rates for fees.
CINEC was represented by President Capt. Ajith Peiris and Director International Cooperation Prof. N. Rajkumar.
They also visited the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology (KIMFT) and had constructive discussions for mutually beneficial collaboration and thereafter toured the campus facilities.
It was also agreed that a team from the KIMFT would make a visit to CINEC to sign an MoU to collaborate activities between the two institutions.
