D. S. Senanayake College registered their first victory of the current season as they thrashed Dharmaraja College by 38 points (six tries and four conversions) to 10 points (two tries) in their Inter-Schools ‘A’ Division League Rugby Tournament match played at Welisara on Thursday.
Having taken a half time lead of 24-5, the Dons went on to secure their maiden win after losing three games on the trot.
Captain Chamuka Seshan and number eight Dinusha Hemasiri both bagged a brace each while the two centres, Kavinda Pathirana and Isuru Eranda also chipped in with tries while Hemasiri made four conversions.
The Rajans having lost all their games so far now look all set to relegate to the Plate competition.
Their two tries were scored by wing three quarter Gayan Madushanka and centre Malintha Rajapaksa.
