Sokrates Saturday, 25 April 2020 03:58 PM
But it must be clear that the new vision being implemented in the country is against the constitutions and other laws. But how can this plague of monks know the constitution of the country if they don't even know the Lord Buddha's rules? According to the constitution, there is now no other option but to convene Parliament. Of course, every clear-minded person is aware that the dictator with his clan, his henchmen and his military would rather rule without parliament. It is a crime against the Constitution and betrayal of the people that Gota is using the crisis to expand his power.

Does he work according to instructions of religious leaders or country's constitution? He has pledged to uphold the constitution. If it is so he should convene parliament.

Gamarala and Sokrates make wise, constructive comments. When politics and religion becomes woven, leads to disaster. History past, and events present, globally tells us loud and clear. But, will anyone take their time and reflect. I wonder!
Hubert Saturday, 25 April 2020 10:30 PM
Look into Thripitakaya not the constitution
Ernest Sunday, 26 April 2020 10:04 AM
Please for the sake of country we don't need your advise,Please do your preaching at the temples for the benefit of the people.
Latley Gunasekera Sunday, 26 April 2020 03:43 PM
In between religion mixed up with the politics create a grey zone with deep turbidness. This is the breeding field for dictators and criminals and disasters..Since 1950’s we are accustomed to that.
Citizen Silva Sunday, 26 April 2020 08:15 PM
Sir we believed you were above politics and a technocrat. Another let down it now seems. It is all cheap politics and retention of power is it not?
Sangha Kumaran Monday, 27 April 2020 01:39 AM
Please donot mix religion with politics. If Maha Sangha is allowed to decide then they should run the country. What joke?
Donn Juwan Monday, 27 April 2020 07:40 AM
Assembling a selected group of monks who personally agree with whatever the government suggests and ask their opinion about election is a big show. I doubt their knowledge on our constitution. The people of this country are not so foolish as they were a few months ago.
