A twitter message in appreciation of the Independence day message of President Gotabaya Rajapakse yesterday at the Independence day celebrations had been released by MP Mangala Samaraweera.

He had stated that the President had made an outstanding speech which he should prove by his deeds.

In the twitter message of MP Mangala it is stated that “the President made an outstanding speech today, and now he should prove it by his actions. A strong leader is one who would take difficult decisions within the Democratic frame work and implement them.

After we gained Independence in 1948 throughout our journey our leaders have spoken very meaningfully and now it is time to put them into action.”

Your views are irrelevant and have been rejected as coming from a traitor.

the way this president is conducting himself at this present moment, his worthless speech is not even worth the cost of the paper it's written on and it is also to continue to hoodwink his blind followers.

Nothing on how to go ahead in solving the ethnic problem. Since independence over the last 72 years we are dragging our feet over this. I am aware that right upto the last Tamil speaking person on SL unless it's resolved there won't be PEACE. The majority may harass, burn, murder etc but no Peace will prevail. Lean from histories of other countries.
